Perfecting the Snatch

Warm - up:
-with an Olympic bar of your choice:
5 Hang Shrugs w/Snatch grip
4 Hang Scarecrows
3 Hang to Overhead
2 Snatch Land
1 Hang Snatch

20 Air Squats
(2 Rounds)

WOD:
"Isabel"
-30 Snatches for time-

  • Wide, Snatch grip
  • Good start position; butt down, eyes on baseboard, chest up, muscles engauged
  • Once bar clears knees; open hips up and extend quickly
  • Hook grip
  • Men = 135, 95, 55
  • Women = 95, 75, 45

Did 30 with 65 lbs in 4:23. Nice not to have to run. richard

4:33 with 95 lbs, did the first 15 in 1:30 then struggled the last 15.

55 lbs., time was 3:55. All was good until the "surprise"

overhead squats ....still a work in progress
