June 3 - Bench Press

Warm Up:
5 Bruce Lee Push Ups
100 Jump Ropes
15 Leg Swings Each Leg
20 Barb Wire Steps - each direction
(2 Rds)
Skill: Shoulder Press
3 Rds - 8 reps each
Strength: Bench Press
85% 1RM - 4 sets - 4 reps
Mini-WOD:
5 Burpees
10 Decline Push Ups - Feet on Box
15 Box Jumps
(4 Rds)

Great work by the pm class tonight. Everybody pushed it on the strength portions, and crushed the mini WOD. Thanks for jumping in on the class Doug, it was great to have a VIP.

Excellent instruction on the Press in particular. I noted foot position (base), grip position, mid-line control, and sight as cues that you were using. Very nice work. You can Coach me any day! :-)

Good solid strength work followed by a killer heart and lung blast. Sorry to say...my decline push-ups looked more like worms than push-ups. Kinda makes me feel sorry for yelling at the morning class about it.

Just a note on Doug's picture with Kyle Maynard...#1 - He is a BULLDOG - GO DAWGS!! #2 - His story is INCREDIBLE...if you don't know it, please borrow my copy of his book, "No Excuses" or go buy it and keep. We keep ours right by the bedside as it becomes a constant reminder of how grateful we should be of the strengths and abilities we so often take for granted. When you read, keep a kleenex handy and don't plan to sleep until you are done:)
