Hey Doug,

Hope you had a great trip. I have question for you if you can help me out, On the clean liftoff 5 @ 105lb. only to the shins, when I lift and get to the top of the shins do I jump up? I draw a blank after the long weekend? Thanks and have a great weekend.

Thanks Mark! The NSCA National Convention never disappoints. Great speakers and great trade show. You will see some influence within CFAI within the next few months of the Convention.

I think your question, may be a repost. Is it? Here was my past answer:

The Snatch and/or Clean "lift off" is an exercise we use from ground to just below knees. Actually to the patelar tendon. I know you will remember to:
-lift with chest "up"
-keep eyes straight ahead
-arch back and only use legs to lift the bar
*what i didn't say was....don't jump! This motion is only to emphasize a big weight lift off the ground and back down. I know it seems simple...but you will know the value - if you can keep your back position.

Are you using some decent weight?

Thanks Coach,

I never did see the post. I appreciate you responding again.

Look forward to seeing the techniques and information forth coming from the convention.

I am using 105 pounds right know to ensure I have the techniques down. I am going to increase it each week and build up from there.

Still trying break that habit of bending the arms, but is happening less and less.
